Yu, Huber and Dumesic among highly cited researchers

University of Wisconsin-Madison chemical and biological engineering faculty members James Dumesic and George Huber and electrical and computer engineering faculty member Zongfu Yu are among the scientists and social scientists selected for the Web of Science Highly Cited Researchers list for 2020.

In total, the 6,400 researchers on the list were selected for significant influence in 21 specific fields or impact across several fields. To determine the 2020 honorees, the Web of Science analyzed papers published and cited between 2009 and 2019, determining which authors ranked in the top 1% of cited papers.

Dumesic and Huber were both included for their impact on the field of chemistry, while Yu was recognized for his cross-disciplinary influence.

In total, 19 researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Madison appear on the 2020 Highly-Cited honor roll.

Dumesic is Professor Emeritus. Huber is the Richard L. Antoine Professor in Chemical and Biological Engineering. Yu is Jack St. Clair Kilby Associate Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
