Four ISYE students win case study competition
Four industrial and systems engineering students, Angela Chupa, Nicolette Johnson, Andrea Price and Michael Russo, won the student case study competition at the 2014 Healthcare Systems Process Improvement Conference in Orlando, Florida. The student case study competition pits teams of four to five undergraduate and graduate students from various schools to solve a healthcare case study.
The UW-Madison team designed an emergency department that fit particular criteria, including patient population and facilitated patient flow. Price says she felt that feasibility and the amount of detail included in the proposal are what set the UW-Madison design solution apart.
