Jun Wang, an associate scientist in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Engineering Physics, has joined the editorial board of the journal Annals of Nuclear Energy.

Wang started his role on April 29, 2021. The journal invited Wang to serve as an editorial board member based on his expertise and his strong track record of providing high-quality and on-time review comments. In 2016, the journal honored Wang with two awards recognizing his outstanding contributions in reviewing.

Wang’s research interests mainly focus on nuclear reactor thermal hydraulics and safety, including: nuclear power plant safety evaluation, accident tolerant fuels/cladding/coating, two-phase flow experiment and simulation, critical heat flux prediction, severe accident analysis, computational fluid dynamics, deep learning, data science for engineering, STEM education.

He has more than 50 publications of books, peer-reviewed journal articles, conference articles, and government reports in the areas of nuclear safety, accident tolerant fuels, and two-phase flow experiments.
