BMES research group honors Ashton and Saha as ‘rising stars’ in tissue engineering research

At its annual conference, held in Hawaii in early January 2013, the Cellular and Molecular Bioengineering special interest group of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) honored Biomedical Engineering Assistant Professors Randy Ashton and Kris Saha as rising stars in their field. In an especially competitive year, the awards recognize Ashton and Saha for their achievements in tissue engineering, which is both the focus of the group conferring the award and of the bionates theme of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery, where both researchers work.
