HFES recognizes ISyE student and faculty member for outstanding contributions to the field

Every year, the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society recognizes students who have made an outstanding contributions to the field of human factors and ergonomics or to the society by presenting them with the Student Member with Honors award. Out of the five 2015 award winners, two have UW-Madison ties. Karen Chen, an industrial and systems engineering PhD student, and Nicole Werner, an assistant professor of industrial and systems engineering, earned the award. Werner was recognized for her time a student at George Mason University, from which she graduated in 2014 with a PhD in both psychology and human factors and applied cognition.
