Ensuring no student is denied an engineering education because of financial considerations is an essential goal for the college. Financial aid influences the college’s ability to recruit underrepresented minorities, and reflects our responsibility to the engineering discipline to create a diverse workforce. The most pressing scholarship needs are those that specifically encourage meritorious women, rural students, and traditionally underrepresented minorities to pursue engineering. We also highly value those that allow us to recognize excellence, within the State of Wisconsin and beyond, by providing top performing high school students with merit scholarships to encourage them to choose Wisconsin. Multi-year renewable awards will play a critical role for students, providing financial security throughout their degree pursuit.
