Tutoring-by-Request (TBR) is a privately funded program that allows authorized students* to obtain one-on-one help from tutors for a number of different courses. Typically TBR provides tutors for over 60 courses engineering students commonly take.
TBR is not available in the summer –

Only authorized students may schedule TBR sessions. Authorized students are underrepresented undergraduate students in the College of Engineering: transfer students in their first year at UW-Madison, underrepresented minority students, women, and McBurney students. Authorized students are notified by email at the beginning of the semester. If you have questions regarding authorization, contact Kathy Prem at firstname.lastname@example.org.
No. TBR offers one-on-one tutoring only.
No. For Spring 2021 semester, all tutoring sessions are online. Your tutor will send you a link to a BlackboardCollaborate to meet virtually before your session begins.
