I give to the industrial and systems engineering department fund because my ISyE background set me on course for a rewarding career, providing a breadth of skills I have used across a variety of professional roles. I received a topnotch engineering education at a great value, which was very important since I funded my own education. It’s important for alumni to support UW-Madison not only to preserve its quality and educational leadership for future generations, but also to protect the value of their degree “investment” over time. This is especially critical for public institutions. The UW-Madison College of Engineering continues to lead and innovate in many areas, and I want to give back by contributing to its continued excellence.
Dean Paul Peercy has asked me to serve on his Industrial Advisory Board, which I am really looking forward to. I am also a member of the UW Women’s Philanthropy Council and am leading the effort to form a chapter in the Minnesota Twin Cities. My husband, Dave, and I are Bascom Hill Society members, and my son is in his junior year at UW-Madison, so now we are a multi-generational Badger family!
