The UW Hybrid Vehicle Team has sent their group leaders off to Boston this week for the EcoCAR Fall Workshop at The MathWorks headquarters.   The team will be learning more about MathWorks tools, as well as learning more from Mototron and National Instruments.  They will also learn more about EcoCAR Year Two competition logistics and guidelines, and participate in some PR and Outreach Events.

Scott Furry, our mentor from MathWorks, came to visit this week to get to know the team and talk with our controls team.  We took him out for a Ride and Drive in the Moovada to show him what we’re able to do with our tools from the MathWorks.

Progress is being made in the shop getting the Sapphire drive fitted into the EV1.  We’ve hit a few snags, but hopefully we’ll be up and running before too long!

The Moolander is almost up and running again.  The transmission is back in place and the batteries are all charged up.  We’re having a few troubles with the fuel system, but we’re hoping these are almost resolved.
