We had 6 different groups come through our shop on Friday, November 21st for shop tours.  Elementary and middle-school students from Racine, WI and high school students from Lindblom Academy in Chicago, IL toured our campus Friday and made a stop in our automotive shop to learn about all the teams.

Scott Furry, our mentor from MathWorks, came to visit this week to get to know the team and talk with our controls team.  We took him out for a Ride and Drive in the Moovada to show him what we’re able to do with our tools from the MathWorks.

Progress is being made in the shop getting the Sapphire drive fitted into the EV1.  We’ve hit a few snags, but hopefully we’ll be up and running before too long!

The Moolander is almost up and running again.  The transmission is back in place and the batteries are all charged up.  We’re having a few troubles with the fuel system, but we’re hoping these are almost resolved.

We brought some Cub Scouts through the shop last Tuesday, pictures coming soon!

The team participated in the 2008 UW Energy Hub Conference: “Energizing the Midwest: Technology, Policy, and You.”  We were a part of the Student Poster Session on November 7th.
