The team worked together with the Society of Women Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers on Saturday, October 18th to host ninety 4th through 6th graders for a Girl Scout Badge Day on the engineering campus. Each organization ran activities for the girls to help them earn three badges in one day; we organized the “Car Care” badge. The girls learned about the benefits of hybrid cars, some routine safety checks for vehicles, how to check tire pressure, how to change a flat tire, and they got a chance to take a look underneath the Moovada!
Thanks to all the Girl Scouts who attended, team members who bravely donated their cars for demonstration, and SWE for all the help organizing the day!
