Cypress donated two PSoc ICE
development packages as well as CY8C29866 and CY8C27443 PSoC Chips.
Two Cypress Semiconductor Corporation products Programmable System on Chip (PSoC)
Mixed Signal Array microprocessors are used in the UWFEC
1KW Grid Tied Inverter Project, one for the preconditioning boost stage and another
for the output stage.
The PSoC microprocessors were selected due to its all-in-one programmability,
low cost and simplicity as a single chip solution. The PSoC design software allows
analog and digital programming blocks to be placed, configured and downloaded quickly.
Debugging is simplified by the availability of a serial output which can be used to monitor
the output from the PSoC IC. A single chip self-oscillating full-bridge driver is used as a
controller for the isolating boost stage.
