Wind Power
Wind Power! Wind Power
To further increase clean energy awareness, two wind turbines were obtained through sponsors. One was installed on the UW campus and the other was installed in Sheboygan, WI.

Status

A new project that involves the wind turbines is currently being formulated.

The first project to install one of the turbines involved a radio tower on Engineering Hall, a building on the UW-Madison campus. The project was first raised on January 24, 2005.

The second project is a location in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This location will offer great wind resources because it is only two miles from the shore of Lake Michigan.

These projects promote renewable energy education in the community. Small wind turbines like the ones being installed by UWFEC will be used for community awareness.
