ABOUT ME:
I can't believe it is my 4th year here already. College has flown by! I love sports, including Tennis, softball, basketball, and soccer. Badger football games are awesome! I love listening to music, especially country (Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood), but Chris Daughtry and the Fray are awesome too. The only books I like to read are the Harry Potter books. In my free-time I like to scrapbook and work on my photo albums (unless there is a new Harry Potter book to read, which won't happen anymore because they are all released... but I love re-reading them anyway).
MY INVOLVEMENT WITH SWE:
I was persuaded both by Day on Campus and my sister to join SWE. I was actively involved with Girl Scouts, fundraising, BSLS, and Day on Campus my freshman year. I liked Girl Scouts the best, which is probably why I became an officer for it my sophomore year. Last year I was the VP of Communications and this year I'm the VP of Finances. I love being an officer and especially, all the opportunities we have to help the community and make a difference in people's lives. It's also pretty awesome that my sister and I can share the SWE experience together, and many of my best friends come from this organization, like my roomie Hallie! (Actually my whole apartment is SWEsters!)
JOB EXPERIENCE:
Other than waitressing, my first real job experience was the summer after my freshman year working at Rockwell Automation in Mequon, WI. It was a fabulous experience. Two summers ago, I worked for GE Healthcare in an Indirect Sourcing role. I stayed on in the fall for a co-op with them in Lean Manufacturing, and this past summer I worked for GE again in Service Engineering. This semester, I will be a Student Assistant for the Intro to Engineering 160 Design class, and I'm super excited!!
FAVORITE CLASS/PROFESSOR:
My favorite class was probably InterEgr 160 Design.
OTHER ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:
My sophomore year I played Intramural Tennis and our team won! I've also played on intramural basketball and volleyball teams. The volleyball team was through SWE! This semester I'm on two intramural soccer teams, one of which is also through SWE.
FAVORITE BABCOCK ICE CREAM FLAVOR:
Chocolate chip cookie dough is the best, (but from Ben and Jerry's I like Chunky Monkey! Yum!).
FURTHEST PLACE YOU TRAVELLED LAST SUMMER:
This past summer my family traveled through Europe for two weeks! We went to France, Germany, and Austria. It was amazing and I really want to go back soon!
