Kicking off a great relationship - GE and IEEE & BMES
November 25, 2008 in On Campus, Recruiting by Tad Johnson
On Wednesday, Sept. 17th a small group from the GE UW-recruiting team went to Madison to co-host an event with IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering) and BMES (Biomedical Engineering Society). The event was a kickball tournament comprised of two BMES teams and two IEEE teams with GE employees dispersed amongst the teams. After a number of competitive games, IEEE reigned supreme over BMES. As a break between the kickball games, GE provided food and beverages to cookout, which allowed for mingling amongst the students and GE employees. Many of the students had questions for the recruiters about GE as a company, life at GE, open positions at GE, as well as overall questions about life after college. There was a great turnout of over 45 students, most of which seemed to show a genuine interest in GE. Overall, the event was a huge success!
