Flight Week (April, 2004)
Seven members of the team went down to Johnson Space Center in
Houston, where five were able to test the experiment in zero-gravity
conditions aboard NASA's KC-135 'weightless wonder.' The
experiment proved successful and we achieved significant success with
our ion drive design. More info will be added soon on our results.
TEDP Submitted (February, 2004)
we have completed and shipped our Test Equipment Data Package to NASA
for approval to fly the experiment on the KC-135.
Proposal Approved (December, 2003)
The proposal has been approved by NASA. The team is now
beginning to work on prototypes of the experiment and research designs
and materials to use to construct the ion drive.
Proposal Shipped (October, 2003)
The proposal has been shipped to Houston and electronically submitted.
Proposal Complete (October, 2003)
After a long weekend the proposal is complete. Document
will be bound and shipped to Houston Monday night.
Pending approval from NASA, we will post a detailed equipment description
at that time.
