Polar Plunge

This winter our team will be Freezin' for a Reason when we take the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Wisconsin. The Polar Plunge is a cool event where supporters raise pledges and jump into frozen bodies of water. Money raised in the Polar Plunge provides funding for nearly 10,000 athletes with cognitive disabilities to reach for the gold. Anybody who would like to sign up must do so by Tuesday Feb. 12th by 3:00 and be able to go to the Nitty Gritty in between 3:00 and 6:00 to sign waivers.

Girl Scout Badge Day

On Feb. 23 and March 8th we will be helping with a Girl Scout Badge Day. ASME will be helping the scouts obtain their Science Discovery Badge by doing exciting activities. Some of the activities/topics scheduled are water tricks, optical illusions, friction and environmental health. Anybody who would like to volunteer can contact James Tracey, jtracey@wisc.edu, and will receive a free, delicious lunch for coming!
