Recruitment Events for FALL 2008!!!
THEME: The Olympics
Monday, September 1st
· Engineerinng Bash (Passing Along the Torch)
o Time: 4:00 PM
o Location: 1800 Engineering Hall
o Description: We will be giving a brief introduction to our org via a skit along with all the other engineering orgs. They usually go in alphbetical order so you won't have to rock with anticipation for long, I promise!
Thursday, September 4th
· Information Night (Opening Ceremonies)
o Time: 7:00 PM
o Location: ECB, Tong Auditorium
o Description: Are you interested in getting involved with Alpha Omega Epsilon? This informational meeting will introduce you to who we are, what we do and how we can be a part of your UW-Madison experience. It's a great chance to meet the sisters of A.O.E., ask questions and peek into what we're all about!
Saturday, September 6th
· Tailgating/BBQ (American Football)
o Time: 9:30 AM
o Location: Umnia's House (address will be forthcoming)
o Description: Who doesn't love a BBQ and a Badger game to boot? Sisters and candidates with tickets can go to the game together. The BBQ is going to be during the game for the sisters and candidates who do not have tickets, but feel free to stop by and munch before and after too!
Tuesday, September 9th
· Student Org Fair (The Perfect 10)
o Time: 5:00-8:00 PM
o Location: Great Hall, Memorial Union
o Description: Come and be the judge! Some of the sisters will be at a booth putting on thier best performances to prick your interest and/or answer any questions you may have. Feel free to stop by!
· Game/Movie Night (Marathon)
o Time: 7:30 PM
o Location: ECB, Tong Auditorium
o Description: We'll have a variety of selections of movies, games and ice cream to choose from and we've got all night. Stay as little or as long as you'd like. Past experience leads me to suggest bringing a pillow.
Wednesday, September 10th
· Picnic at Picnic Point (Track & Field)
o Time: 4:00 PM
o Location: Meet in front of Frank's (it's over by the Kronshage Hall)
· o Description: "Citius, Altius, Fortius"; faster, higher, stronger. Fuel up on watermelon and let it all out with frisbee, red rover and liesurly strolls along the lake shore.
Saturday, September 13th
· Farmer's Market (3000m Steeplechase)
o Time: 9:30 AM
o Location: Meet at the fountain on Library Mall
o Description: And around and around we go, where we'll stop nobody knows, unless you come and tell us what looks tasty or pretty or just plain interesting. Bring a little cash and buy a tomato, or a trinket, or a jar of 8x Jalapeno jam.
And remember: don't get your feet wet, it slows you down.
Tuesday, September 16th
· Taco Tuesday (Weightlifting)
o Time: 7:00 PM
o Location: TBA
o Description: Who doesn't love free food? Take a study break to make your own taco (...or two...or three...who's counting?)! Remember to pace yourself if you're in this for the long haul. These things can get heavy after a while!
Thursday, September 18th
· Tea with A.O.E. (Diving)
o Time: 3:00-5:00 PM
o Location: TBA
o Description: Come and just hang out and relax away the stresses the first couple of weeks of class have undoubtedly thrown at you with a bunch of really great girls. Dive into a cup of tea, coffee, cappaccino and/or hot chocolate with bagels from Einstein's on the side.
Friday, September 19th
· Women's Soccer Game (self-explanatory)
o Time: 7:00 PM
o Location: McClimon Field Complex
o Description: Tonight the world reknowned Badgers take on the ladies from California's prestigous Pepperdine University (I've been there and if you think our hills are bad, you should see what they have to climb around on every day!). Check it out, it's bound to be a good fight!
Note: If you are planning on attending this event and you have a red card, please let us know beforehand so we don't buy you a ticket!!!
Sunday, September 21st
· A Trip to the Zoo (Equestrian - Dressage, Jumping and Eventing)
o Time: 1:30 PM
o Location: Meet at the A.O.E. office in ECB
o Note: If you've never been to Henry Vilas Zoo, now's your chance! You never know what you're going to see, or hear, or smell...
