College of Engineering Awards

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Attached are the following announcements calling for nominations for the 2006 College of Engineering awards.

The Benjamin Smith Reynolds Award for Excellence in Teaching Engineers
The Bollinger Academic Staff Distinguished Achievement Award
The Harvey Spangler Award for Technology-Enhanced Instruction
The Classified Staff Distinguished Achievement Award
The James G. Woodburn Award for Excellence in Teaching
The Byron Bird Award for Excellence in a Research Publication
The Ragner E. Onstad Service to Society Award

With the exception of the Onstad Award, nominations are due February 10, 2006. The Onstad Award selection procedure consists of two phases. The deadline for submission of nominations for phase one is January 9, 2006. Please see the announcement for complete details.

The awards will be presented at a special celebration scheduled for Tuesday, May 2, 2006. Recipients will also be recognized at the annual Engineers' Day Banquet on October 13, 2006.

I encourage you to take the time to nominate faculty and staff in your departments/centers/units who make outstanding contributions to the College.
