Course objective:
To provide a more advanced understanding of polymer processing.

Course description:
Advanced analysis and modeling of plastics extrusion, injection molding, and other processes; emphasis on processes governed by viscoelasticity and nonlinear phenomena.

Prerequisite:
Basic course in polymer processing (ME 417) or consent of instructor.

Homework:
Periodic homework problems.

Exams:
Three take-home exams.
