Course objective:
To introduce students to the basic power electronic devices and to study and analyze fundamental power conditioning converters.

Course description:
Covers piecewise linear, uncontrolled circuits; power electronic devices; AC/DC converters; DC/DC converters; AC/AC converters; resonant converters.

Prerequisite:
Basic course in electronic switching circuits and solid-state devices or consent of the instructor.

Homework:
Eleven homework sets plus one project.

Exams:
Midterm and final.

Kit provided.
