Admission
Admission processes vary depending on your interest:
How to Apply for an Individual Course
-
Apply online through University of Wisconsin Systems. When applying for an individual course through Credit Courses at a Distance (CCD), you fall into one of two types of university special students. You will be asked to identify yourself as one of these two types during the online application process:
-
If you are not seeking a degree but have already earned an undergraduate degree and are looking to advance professionally, update or renew a license, or pursue a personal interest by taking classes, apply as a UNDS student:
- Within the online application, on the “Reason for Applying” page, choose “Nondegree/Special”
- Then, on the “Applying As” page, choose “Professional or personal enrichment (UNDS)”
-
If you have already earned an undergraduate degree and are preparing to apply to graduate school, need to refresh your knowledge, satisfy a prerequisite, or demonstrate current academic ability, apply as a UNRS student:
- Within the online application, on the “Reason for Applying” page, choose “Nondegree/Special”
- Then, on the “Applying As” page, choose “Preparation for admission to graduate or professional school (UNRS)”
-
-
When you are officially admitted, you will receive instructions to activate your NetID. You will also need to activate your Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) account, which will allow viewing of the online lectures.
-
After receiving official notification of admission, email the CCD office or call 608/262-5516 for authorization to enroll in your chosen course.
-
Once you are officially enrolled, you will receive your course materials.
