REQUIRED SUPERVISOR OBSERVATION

As you know you are required to be observed in a teaching situation (lecture, lab, discussion section, or office hour) by your supervisor by the seventh week of the semester. If you have not been observed and do not have a time set up with your supervisor, please arrange a time now. Faculty may use observation forms from the TA Evaluation and Improvement Handbook pages 29 and 30.

Remember, these observations are for your benefit to help you improve your teaching.

If you would like to be videotaped, you can check with your department administrator or contact Jeffrey R. Stevens directly. Those who have been videotaped have found it to be the most useful tool in improving their teaching skills.
