Engineering Centers Building

The Engineering Centers Building, located at the end of Engineering Drive, is the newest engineering building. Ready for use in fall 2002, the building houses not only college research, but also dedicates an entire floor of shared space to student projects. In addition, the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Engineering Career Services make their new homes in ECB as well.

This grand building replaced the General Engineering Building and several old buildings known as the Temporary Buildings. The word "temporary" became somewhat of a joke around campus, since the structures were built just after World War II to accommodate the burgeoning numbers of students returning from the war — but stood for more than 50 years.
