COE Students Engineer Holiday Spirit

Clothed bronze statue

With exams completed and semester break officially here, thousands of students from the College of Engineering let out a collective sigh of relief Dec. 21 as they commenced with their holiday plans. Even "Between Classes," the lifelike bronze sculpture in front of Engineering Hall, got into the Christmas spirit with a St. Nick headpiece (22K JPG). Donated to the college in 1994 by the Grainger Foundation, the statue periodically takes on seasonal attire (with the help of creative students). "Between Classes" is the product of artist J. Seward Johnson, Jr.
