Night Light

Night Light
Because headlight batteries wear out quickly and bulbs burn out, frequent night bicyclists often find themselves in the dark — or at best, the dim. Frustrated with the amount of upkeep traditional lights require, mechanical engineering students Jeffrey Schulman and Eric DeGolier developed the No-Maintenance Integrated Helmet Lighting System. Within the helmet, solar-charged nickel metal-hydride batteries power LED clusters, which emit light as bright as conventional bulbs. In addition, the helmet light means cyclists won't need to remove handlebar-mounted lighting systems when their bikes are unattended.
