Undergrads win NOAA scholarships

UW-Madison College of Engineering rising juniors Ryan Kladar and Lewis Kunik recently were awarded Hollings Scholarships from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Office of Education. The scholarships support undergraduates pursuing careers in oceanic and atmospheric science, providing up to $8,000 per year for up to two years and providing a full-time summer internship position with a NOAA facility. Kladar, majoring in civil and environmental engineering, and Kunik, majoring in electrical and computer engineering, are the most recent in a long line of UW-Madison students in many engineering disciplines to receive Hollings awards.
