MARC student awarded AMAP scholarship
Modified Asphalt Research Center (MARC) graduate student, Raquel Moraes, was awarded the 2014 Dr. David R. Jones IV Scholarship by the Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP). Raquel has worked on a number of research projects concerning the formulation and performance of modified asphalt binders. Her PhD research focuses on the physical and chemical interaction between mineral aggregate fillers and asphalt during the oxidative aging process.
The AMAP is dedicated to the "development, production, and use of modified asphalts for highway paving."
