ISyE PhD student wins peer mentor award

Mahtab Ghazizadeh, a PhD student in industrial and systems engineering, was one of a handful of graduate students who received a UW-Madison graduate peer mentor award for 2014. Ghazizadeh’s research focuses on technology acceptance across user groups and, in particular, older adults’ acceptance of technology. Her mentee, Maddie Gibson, says that Ghazizadeh’s expertise and organization made her immediately comfortable. “Mahtab’s positive attitude made it such a pleasure working with her,” Gibson says, “and she played an influential role in developing my enthusiasm and appreciation for research.”

The graduate peer mentor awards are co-sponsored by the UW-Madison Graduate School and the Multicultural Graduation Network.
