McLay and collaborators receive NSF grant
In collaboration with George Washington University, Industrial and Systems Engineering Associate Professor Laura McLay has received a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). The project is titled “Collaborative research: Flexible multi-scale models of transportation network service recovery,” and will focus on optimizing the network models that influence how emergency traffic responders are located and utilized. McLay says that the ultimate goal of this collaborative project is to ease traffic disruptions due to emergency responders. The grant budget for Wisconsin research is $158,864.
