UW-Madison ME alum participates in Education DesignShop at MIT
UW-Madison mechanical engineering alumnus Max Bock-Aronson recently participated in the inaugural Education DesignShop held by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The Education DesignShop is a two-day interdisciplinary team workshop and innovation competition. Teams are comprised of undergraduates, educators, policymakers and designers, who are tasked with applying the design process to education and to the education system.
Bock-Aronson’s team earned second-place and $1,000 for “SyllaBuild,” an online portal in which students and educators collaborate to build course curriculum. SyllaBuild begins with teachers creating an outline for the course and then students are encouraged to leave comments, vote on projects, and select the assignments they have an interest in.
