Chesler receives diversity honor
Biomedical Engineering Associate Professor Naomi Chesler will receive the 2014 Biomedical Engineering Society Diversity Award. The annual award can honor any of a range of activities in education, research or service that improve racial and gender diversity in biomedical engineering. The BMES Board of Directors selected Chesler this year to honor her work toward gender equality in biomedical engineering. As part of the award, Chesler will deliver a plenary lecture at the BMES annual meeting, which takes place October 22 through 25 in San Antonio, Texas.
