NSF grant funds new method for extracting data from manufacturing machines
With researchers at Georgia Tech University, Industrial and Systems Engineering Associate Professor Kaibo Liu has received a National Science Foundation grant. The project, “Collaborative research: Online monitoring of high-dimensional streaming data using adaptive order shrinkage,” aims to develop scalable and adaptive methodologies for online monitoring of high-dimensional streaming data. Liu says the new methodology can be applied beyond manufacturing to data including network traffic control and intrusion detection. The grant budget is $150,729 over three years.
