UW-Madison team wins EPA sustainability competition

A team of UW-Madison students led by chemical and biological engineering postdoc Andrew Markley has received a $90,000 grant from the United States Environmental Protection Agency P3: People, Prosperity and the Planet program. The team, affiliated with the UW-Madison Office of Sustainability, is developing a styrofoam reuse and recycling program called Styrocycle. The team presented its work so far at the National Sustainable Design Expo, which took place April 25 through 27 in Washington, D.C.
