Pfleger wins award for young biotech researchers
Chemical and Biological Engineering Associate Professor Brian Pfleger has received the AIChE 2014 Daniel I.C. Wang Award, a prestigious honor given annually to a biotechnology or bioengineering researcher under 35. Pfleger is a synthetic biologist who develops microorganisms capable of producing small molecules of value from renewable resources. As the award winner, Pfleger will give a lecture during a biotechnology session of the American Chemical Society's 2014 annual meeting in March 2014 in Dallas, Texas.
