Nellis named ASHRAE Fellow

Kaiser Chaired Professor of Mechanical Engineering Gregory F. Nellis has been named a Fellow the of American Society of Heating, Ventilating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).  

The citation for the award reads: "Nellis has made outstanding fundamental contributions to the science and art of refrigeration cycles, refrigeration system components, and heat transfer fundamentals. The application to novel refrigeration cycles such as active magnetic regenerative cycles and mixed gas Joule Thomson cycles has significantly advanced the field. He has communicated his accomplishments to the ASHRAE community through many publications and presentations. He has demonstrated educational leadership ability through the texts he has co-authored on thermodynamics and heat transfer and through graduate student advising and mentoring. His many teaching awards recognize his dedication to education."
