Williams receives inaugural restorative neuroscience award

The Department of Neurological Surgery has selected Biomedical Engineering Associate Professor Justin Williams as the first recipient of the Lincoln F. Ramirez Award for Restorative Neurosciences. The honor recognizes work accomplished in improving the future for those suffering from degenerative, traumatic, and ischemic conditions of the central nervous system. “I'm very happy to receive this because as a biomedical engineer it is always nice to be recognized by the field of healthcare that you are trying to impact,” says Williams. The award is sponsored by the Restorative Neurosciences Foundation.
