The Department of Engineering Physics has named nuclear engineering graduate students Aaron McEvoy and Ryan Wollaeger recipients of a $1,000 award presented in memory of noted Sandia National Laboratory plasma physicist James Poukey. The award is drawn from a fund established by Poukey’s sister, Mary Hauser. McEvoy’s advisor is Grainger Professor of Nuclear Engineering Jerry Kulcinski, while Wollaeger is studying under Spangler Professor of Engineering Physics Greg Moses.
