Winners announced in Steuber Prize for excellence in first-year writing

The Technical Communications Program recently announced the winners of the Steuber Prize for Excellence in First-Year Writing. Katherine Baldwin earned first place and $1,000 in the reflective writing category for "An old friend." Thomas Vanasse received an honorable mention and $500 for "Groundbroken." In the academic writing category, Tyler Lieberthal earned $750 for "The perils of mass food production," which tied with Daniel Rothe, who received $750 for "Ethanol: friend or foe?”
