Mavrikakis named journal editor

On July 1, 2012, Paul A. Elfers Professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering Manos Mavrikakis took over as editor-in-chief of the journal Surface Science. The field deals with fundamental experimental and theoretical studies of the basic phenomena governing the physics and chemistry of surfaces and interfaces. Mavrikakis is only the journal’s fourth editor-in-chief since its founding in 1964.
