Behdad’s paper on bio-inspired antenna arrays was most read in 2011

Electrical and Computer Engineering Assistant Professor Nader Behdad’s paper, “Insect-inspired miniaturized antenna arrays with super-resolving capabilities,” was popular with the 44,000 members of the Institute of Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA). The paper, which posits that the limitations of electrically small antennas can be overcome by looking to insect antennae for inspiration, was in the IDGA top-five most-read stories of 2011. Behdad will share more on the topic at the IDGA UAV Summit, which takes place this April.
