APS names five UW-Madison faculty as fellows

The American Physical Society honored five UW-Madison professors–including Lynn H. Matthias Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering Robert Blick–as newly minted fellows of the organization. Blick received the commendation for his contributions to the physics of quantum dots and nanomechanical systems, as well as for work to develop new on-chip screening methods for ion channel spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy of proteins.
