Duffie earns medal for manufacturing research

Mechanical Engineering Professor Neil Duffie received the Frederick W. Taylor Research Medal from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers this June. The medal, awarded annually for significant published research, recognizes his findings on applying modern control theory to manufacturing operations, leading to a better understanding of processes, equipment and facilities.
