Zhou gets grant for quality control study
Industrial and Systems Engineering Professor Shiyu Zhou has received a $200,000 grant from the National Science Foundation's Grant Opportunities for Academic Liaison with Industry initiative to study manufacturing quality control and create a series of methodologies for modeling, monitoring and diagnosing at locations randomly distributed within manufacturing settings. If successful, this research could lead to a new set of tools for quality control in industries such as steel rolling, semiconductor manufacturing, and composite materials fabrication.
