Generosity toward and enthusiasm for the University of Wisconsin College of Engineering are creating exciting opportunities for students, faculty and staff. There is a new level of energy and intensity on campus. It results directly from the many contributions of our alumni and friends. Workers completed the first phase of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Building Project this fall, creating modern research and educational spaces that are also warm and inviting. This past summer, the college began remodeling an under-used portion of Engineering Hall. Thanks in part to a gift from UW-Madison alumnus Wade Fetzer (BS ’59) and his wife, Bev, students will have a modern learning center for group study and tutoring.
The gifts that make these construction projects possible are one part of the equation. The gifts that fund fellowships, scholarships, endowed professorships, student awards or unrestricted funds represent another. When you see them together—students, faculty and staff taking advantage of amazing opportunities in modern, flexible academic and research space—you understand the excitement, passion and energy that flow through the engineering campus. With your contributions, College of Engineering faculty, staff and dedicated engineering students are truly creating the future.
Thanks to you, the College of Engineering is evolving and the University of Wisconsin Foundation continues to realize its vision: Philanthropy will mean the difference between the maintenance of a great university and the evolution of an extraordinary one.
