This consortium is a university-industry collaborative initiative for research, education and transfer of emerging technologies and design/construction methods to enhance use of coal combustion products (CCPs) and flue gas desulfurization (FGD) byproducts, in particular fly ash, in beneficial medium to large-volume geotechnical applications such as soil stabilization and improvement. It conducts multidisciplinary research and industry and government-based collaborative experiments on new CCP and FGD beneficial use paradigms. It also provides a learning community for companies to share their experiences in implementing beneficial use, lessons learned, best practices and performance metrics.

Industrial Sponsors: Alliant Energy, Mineral Solutions, Inc., Xcel Energy Services Inc.
