  • Improves access to information and telecommunication systems for people with disabilities, including work in basic research, development, evaluation, training and commercial facilitation.

  • Develops new interface techniques for standard information technologies and telecommunication systems, including mobile devices and the Internet, as well as public systems (e.g., voting, ATMs).

  • Develops design principles and guidelines for accessible information technology and telecommunication products.

  • Works with information technology and telecommunication companies to implement strategies for improved disability access and usability of their standard systems.
