SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE EDUCATION CENTER

Performs research on wastes, environmental effects and design for the
environment; conducts projects on waste processing, beneficial
utilization and designing environmentally preferable products and
processes.

Provides outreach education to Wisconsin companies and communities on
technical topics relating to the environment; conducts in-plant
pollution-prevention opportunity assessments for Wisconsin businesses
and industry.

Specializes in providing education, training and technical assistance for development of environmental management systems leading to ISO 14000 registration.
