  • Created as a university-industry-government collaboration to advance knowledge of polymer engineering and processing.

  • Features a wide range of expertise and research interests including traditional areas, composites to smart materials, conventional to innovative processes, and advanced modeling, simulation and web-based tools for design and manufacturing.

  • Maintains a strong commitment to polymer-engineering education; each semester, nearly 250 students either conduct research toward a graduate degree or take polymer-processing courses and lab sessions taught by center faculty.
