Improves access to information and telecommunication systems for people with disabilities, including work in basic research, development, evaluation, training and commercial facilitation.

Develops new interface techniques for standard information technologies and telecommunication systems, including mobile devices and the Internet, as well as public systems (e.g., voting, ATMs).

Develops design principles and guidelines for accessible
information technology and telecommunication projects.

Works with information technology and telecommunication companies to implement strategies for improved disability access and usability of their standard systems.
